Righteous, Noble and Profitable

Righteous, Noble and Profitable

Why is it that so many of us feel that prosperity is something to feel guilty about, to be ashamed of, or that we are undeserving of? These are lose – lose perspectives. If we feel guilty about it or are ashamed of it, we are actually preventing ourselves from manifesting it. Keeping it away from us in simple terms.

Our mind won’t let us manifest something that we think we want but really don’t feel good about. It’s like saying yes and no at the same time which is confusing to the subconscious mind. Whatever you tell yourself, you are quite likely right, so what are you telling yourself that is holding you back?

We are good – we serve people for good in our work. Maybe we volunteer on soccer teams  and church committees in our communities. We dedicate our lives to our spouses, children and those we love. We are not murderers or terrorists, so let’s stop thinking that prosperity is selfish and that we are undeserving.

Let’s  all open ourselves to receive the blessings we desire, deserve and very likely work for.

There is much you can do in the world when you believe in prosperity for All.

By the way, ALL means you too!

Live with Intention!

Imagine
it is one year from now.
You are writing a letter to someone who really cares about your well being and success, and sharing with them all the GREAT things that have happened this past year. Your business has taken off, you are out of debt and making more money than ever, the kids are thriving, your marriage is stronger than ever, and your health is at an all time high. These are just a few of the things you share that have happened throughout the year.

Take time to reflect on how you would like your life to transpire over this next year, thinking about all the key areas of your life. Then write a letter to someone – not to send, but keep for yourself – telling them about it as if it has already become.

The future is now and now is the time to set the intention for your dream future. How do YOU want it to look? How will you feel in this future? What has changed? Not just on the outside, but on your inside in this future?

You deserve all that you can dream up for your future so dream BIG! This is your template. Everything IS Possible!

Ingredients

Hmmm…Whats Missing?

Setting goals gives us a feeling of starting anew.

But if our goals aren’t created properly, we are setting ourselves up for failure right from the start. So next time you create your goals, add this additional element to ensure your success.

Not only do you want to write them down, look at them daily, and take deliberate action toward achieving them, but you also want to visualize them as if they have already happened.

So… Want to lose 20 pounds? Visualize yourself 20 pounds lighter.

Want to make $100K this year? Visualize yourself putting $10K cheques in the bank each and every month.

Want to pay off all your debt? Visualize your balance sheet saying $0 due.

Visualizing your goals is the missing ingredient to achieving what yo want to accomplish.

Enjoy the experience, and enjoy your vision coming to be!

Les Rivaux de Painful Gulch

A Little Motivation

Pain doesn’t tell you when you ought to stop. Pain is the little voice in your head that tries to hold you back because it knows if you continue you will change.

Don’t let it stop you from being who you can be. Exhaustion tells you when you ought to stop. You only reach your limit when you can go no further.

Feet On the Map

Action is fascinating because action is habitual.

You can be the habit of action or the habit of inaction – both having dramatically different results.

The more you create the habit of action, the more action you take.

And the more you create the habit of inaction, the harder it is to get started.

Which habit are you in? What holds you back? All it takes it the first step. Then another step. No one ever said it has to be the right step because you can adjust along the way. It just has to be a step, and all the rest will work itself out.

What is the moral of the story? Don’t wait until your perfect plans are made and your fears are gone. The perfect time is now. Take the first step, then make the other steps a habit.

Goal setting: creates a future

Goal setting: creates a future (Photo credit: lululemon athletica)

We all hear about the importance of setting goals but do you do it?

Why or why not?

Is it the lack of discipline?

Is it that it is not that important to you?

Or is it that you may not reach your goals anyway, so why even bother?

If you set goals that are tangible and attainable and not a pie-in-the-sky wish, then you do have the ability to reach them, create a track record of success, and develop your goal setting muscle.

Our olympians were not born with the ability to be the best at their chosen sport. They had to start with small goals first. As they achieved smaller goals they stretched to slightly bigger then bigger until world records were made then broke.

If you don’t have the disciple or the habit of setting goals, is it worth the reward to develop the discipline? I say it is. I have seen it time and time again.

Answer these questions:

How is it serving you to not set goals?

How would your life be changed if you did?

Assignment:

Try setting daily goals that you know you can accomplish. Make them simple, attainable, and most importantly, make a commitment to achieve your goal for that day. This will build your confidence, create a habit, and build your goal setting muscle.

You could be the next Olympian in what you do!

what-if

what-if (Photo credit: cambiodefractal)

Great leaders that have gone before us have told us that one of the secrets to their success is to start acting like you are a success before you are one.

Picture yourself, carry yourself, and talk to yourself as f you have already achieved the level of success you desire.

Think about how you would act, what your lifestyle would be like, what you would do with your time, the clothes that you would wear, and the car you would drive.

Think about these things often. Taste them, feel them, smell them and hear them. Experience them with your whole BEing again and again.

You become what you think about. AND you become what you move toward. Start moving in the direction of who you want to BE by acting as if you are already there.

Post who you are BEcoming for the collective energy to surround you and make the BEcoming even more amazing!

Think big

Think big (Photo credit: m-c)

The most important thing you can do to change your life is to change your thoughts.

I know, it’s easier said than done I know.  We all have a pattern of how we process our thoughts.  For some of us this pattern serves us better than others. But the good news is that you can change it.

How do your thoughts serve you?  Can you notice them and choose what to do with them in the moment?   Or do you let your thoughts control you?  Just because a thought comes in doesn’t mean it is true, and doesn’t mean you have to think it, believe it or accept it.

Try to be more conscious of your thoughts, just like when your stomach growls for food.  And when your thoughts come, determine how they are serving you and what to do with them.  Then do it.

Direction

Having a vision is a beautiful thing. It makes dreams feel more concrete and obtainable. It gives you focus, direction and a barometer upon which to make life decisions. With a vision. you live with intention and purpose because you know exactly where you are going. Without the direction of a clear vision for guidance, it is unlikely you will feel fulfilled because you will not base your decisions on what you want and where you are headed, but instead you will base them on circumstances of the moment.

Try creating a vision of what you want your life to look like in all areas of life, and picture it in your mind everyday. Then create your plan to get there, take action with a resolve not to quit, and watch what happens. Even the smallest steps will lead you to your goals.

Man washing dishes

Man washing dishes (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Remember the times when the teacher did roll call in class and the answer after your name was called was “present”? You were fairly present at the moment you heard your name. I don’t know about you, I was somewhere else for most of high school.

Today BEing present actually shows up by participating in the moment you are in, completely. Multi-tasking be damned, just doing one thing at a time and not wandering off in body or mind to another task, problem or issue. This is not always easy, but possible.

Are you willing to practice? Start with doing a mundane chore like the dishes or sweeping the floor. While you are doing it concentrate on the actual washing/sweeping. “Get the corners.” “Flip the dish and scrub that spot”. How long before you were thinking about dealing with the kids or heading out to do other chores or maybe even adding another task while you are doing this one, like calling a friend or checking your email?

Caught you! I knew it, lots of you are like me! HA! When I want to let go of the turmoil in my head or the dreaded to-do list, I start by thinking I just want to BE. My to-BE at the moment is just to wash the dishes and when other things filter in, I note it then clear my mind to the task at hand.

It is really incredibly relaxing to do only one thing at a time. Meditative even. When did we get so busy? Why do we think that if we are only done ONE thing we must be lazy or inefficient?

Life is short and we ALL need to slow down a bit and just BE. This IS the good life and “Life is too short to be anything but happy!”
